Exploring the lifeblood of Southeast Asia
Unearthing the beauty and challenges of Southeast Asian river basins, inspiring a generation to protect these invaluable resources.
How it Began
Its roots began in 2007 when a group of international students (from Singapore, UK, Germany, Sweden, China, Canada, and Cambodia) participated in a voluntary field investigation in Cambodia led by Dr Carl Grundy-Warr, a political geographer with research interests in the Mekong.
Collaboration
Collaboration with local researchers, practitioners, non-governmental organisations, and community-based groups formed a sound basis for further educational collaborations.
Based In
RiverWetlands.org is headquartered in Singapore and consists of international team members from across Southeast Asia.
